NatWest To Offer Free Banking For New Businesses
NatWest are ramping up their High Street business banking operations with the introduction of 500 new business managers across its branch network, along with a new account which waives charges on standard transactions for the first two years of a new startup’s operation.
This free business banking is, say the bank, in response to a survey which sites financial concerns as a block on going into business by 42% of budding entrepreneurs.
Red tape, regulation, and tax was also a major concern, and it’s hoped that the combination of fee-free banking and the back up of experienced in-branch managers will encourage more people to put their business ideas into action.
The new account also features a fee-free £500 overdraft + credit card for the first year of trading, along with a 24hr telephone support line.
